1st MENA InsurTech Hackathon



         APPLICATION PHASE          

[From April 20th to June 2nd, 2022 - 23:59 GMT +3]

Register on the platform and submit a 2-minute (max. in MP4 format) video elevator pitch from the founder. 

The TOP 50 most creative startups and feasible projects will go through the Virtual Hackathon phase.





[From June 5th to June 6th, 2022]


Equipped with the right knowledge and tools, you should be ready to shape your solution / project during the 2 days online Hackathon. At the end of the virtual Hackathon you will present your solutions  to our exclusive committee of judges in 10 min pitch with 5 min Q&A round.

  • Initial version of your wireframes and/or prototypes in pdf /ppt format 

The TOP 15 most creative startups and feasible projects will go through the Mentorship phase.



[From June 8th to June 14th, 2022 - 23:59 GMT +3]

You will have access to InsurHack MENA mentors. Take this opportunity to ask as many questions as possible to have your final Demo Day pitch deck alongside your Hack Canvas + Wireframes and/or prototypes ready to be presented in front of the Final Jury members! Your mentor will help you in your work and optimize the end results! 

At the end of the mentors round, you will present your solutions to our exclusive mentors round pitch committee in less than 10 minutes.

We will shortlist the TOP 6 most creative startups who will attend the Demo Day on June 23 in Doha, Qatar




[From June 15th to June 21st, 2022]

The 6 selected finalist startups will be invited to the Qatar InsurTech Conference where the InsurHack MENA DemoDay will take from June 22nd - June 23rd, 2022 in Doha Qatar  (Economy flight + 3-night accommodation for 1 person will be covered by InsurHack MENA).




[June 22nd to June 23rd, 2022 in Doha]

The 6 selected startups will be invited to Doha. The Final Pitches will happen on June 23rd. Startups will have up to 10 minutes to present their solutions followed by a 5-min Q/A session in front of a selected committee of major reputable ecosystem players, such as QIC, Deloitte, QFC, Prifina and Anthemis. There will be only one winner.

Judging Criteria across Virtual Hackathon, Mentoring, and Demo Day Phase :



How well does the Deliverable respond to the specific need(s) / challenges set out in the Brief?



How innovative is the solution in its use of new or existing technology to solve the problem described in the Brief? Are there other solutions available and if so, how does this differentiate from them? How does the proposed solution impact the MENA insurance ecosystem? 



How feasible is the solution to put into practice? Does the solution make sense financially? Will the solution be sustainable over the long term? Is the solution scalable across the MENA region?

Does the value proposition fit with partners' solution building / investment strategy? 



 What is the team composition? What is the team’s background & expertise?
